Together, MassINC and The MassINC Polling have created a new Zoom forum series, Probing New Public Opinion Data for an Informed Response.

Using data provided by The MassINC Polling Group, these forums are an opportunity to better understand the housing challenges Commonwealth residents are fielding right now, and explore public policy solutions to address them.

The first of the summer series, Making rent and paying the mortgage; How can we avoid another housing crisis?, took stock of how Massachusetts residents are covering their rent with data from a statewide survey of renters and homeowners. Using this real time data juxtaposed with lessons from the past, we explored the consequences of coronavirus on renters and take stock of ongoing and potential policy solutions.
