Lezlie Braxton Campbell

Deputy Director, Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts

Lezlie Braxton Campbell is a community organizer, civic leader, and educator committed to building people power and strengthening civic engagement. He serves as the Deputy Director of Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts. In this role, Braxton oversees N2N’s programmatic and financial areas.

His work centers on building long-term infrastructure and cultivating leadership pipelines in communities that have historically been excluded from political power. He has worked on multiple campaigns and led many advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels. Braxton is a former middle school social studies teacher who taught in Springfield Public Schools. He also taught GED prep courses to adults through workforce development.

Braxton is also active on the national landscape through the Young Democrats of America, where he serves as Executive Vice President, helping strengthen youth leadership and democratic engagement nationwide. He previously served as the first Black President of Young Democrats of Massachusetts from 2020 to 2022. He holds other leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ+ Youth and Co-Chair of the New Leaders Council Boston Institute.

He is a proud member of the Theta Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he serves as the Chapter Historian. Across all of his work, Braxton remains committed to building a more participatory democracy.
