Winthrop Roosevelt Director of Public Affairs, MassINC
Winthrop Roosevelt joined the Gateway Cities Innovation Institute as Government Affairs Associate after completing a NAIOP Policy Fellowship at MassINC over the summer of 2013. Shortly after he was moved into the role of Director of Public Affairs for all of MassINC, where he is focused on strengthening MassINC’s voice in the public arena, and advancing the policy agendas for both the Gateway Cities Innovation Institute and the Criminal Justice Reform Coalition.
Prior to joining MassINC, Winthrop was a Senior Associate at The Dewey Square Group, a nationally known public affairs firm in Boston. Since 2004, Winthrop also has advised and worked on many local and national political campaigns. He is also a strong advocate for the protection of the National Parks and has partnered with the Center for American Progress and the National Parks Conservation Association in a campaign to protect threatened public land. Winthrop received a MS in Urban and Regional Public Policy from Northeastern University in 2014.
