First Annual Friends of Longitudinal Data Systems Fall Symposium

October 27, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

| Free

MassINC and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston invite you to attend the inaugural Friends of Longitudinal Data Systems Fall Symposium.

The “Friends of Longitudinal Data Systems (FoLDS)” is a new group dedicated to advancing cutting-edge social policy research in Massachusetts. A collection of education advocates, researchers, philanthropists, and policymakers, FoLDS brings to light early lessons from studies that are currently underway, uncovers the secrets of new data sources, and advocates for long-term improvements in the state’s data infrastructure.

At the First Annual Symposium, FoLDS will recognize new research and draw attention to promising developments in state data systems. The conference will also provide a forum for vigorous discussion of key issues. We will look at how Massachusetts builds data governance structures that protect individual privacy, while providing researchers, policymakers, and the public with greater access to information. During concurrent working lunch sessions, we will mine models from other states for new opportunities to help Massachusetts improve early childhood data, provide the public with vital information on college and career pathways, and build stronger long-term research partnerships.

Health and Safety Guidelines:

A government-issued ID is required to enter the building. The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston currently requires all external guests be vaccinated and reserves the right to confirm vaccination status. Masking is optional at the current time.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is a co-host of this event, not a fiscal sponsor of FoLDS.
