Aimee Ward Weeden Chief Operating Officer, MassINC

Aimee Ward Weeden is MassINC’s Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Aimee leads MassINC and CommonWealth’s fundraising and marketing strategy, along with supporting President, Lauren Louison Grogan, in overseeing the overall management of the organization. She previously served as Vice President of Finance and Operations at MassINC from 2009 to 2013.

Aimee rejoins the team from the Baker-Polito Administration where she served as Chief of Staff and Director of Policy for Secretary of Housing and Economic Development (EOHED) Jay Ash. As Chief of Staff, Aimee oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Secretary’s office, including management of the external affairs and communication teams. In her role as Director of Policy, she worked closely with the Governor’s office, EOHED agencies and quasi agencies to develop and implement policies to promote economic development throughout the State. Aimee started in the Secretary’s office in 2015 as Legislative Director. As legislative director, she managed the filing and passage of the 2016 economic development bill.

Prior to joining the EOHED, Aimee was Director of Institutional Advancement at Lahey Health and an analyst in the private sector for Watson Wyatt. She began her career in the Massachusetts State Legislature in former Senator Thomas M. McGee’s office.

Aimee resides in Marblehead with her two sons, James and William, husband, Jeff, and beloved dog, Captain America.

Aimee also serves as a Director on UMass Amherst’s Woman into Leadership Board and is a parent volunteer at her children’s schools.
