Now that the election is over, a lot of big decisions need to be made at the MBTA. The Fiscal and Management Control Board’s five-year term is coming to an end – what should replace it? Should commuter rail continue to be – as its name implies – for commuters in and out of Boston, or should it operate more frequently like the subway? And, perhaps the biggest decision of all, does the T need more revenue to match its expanded ambitions?
