On Wednesday, August 12th MassINC and the MassINC Polling Group presented the results of a survey of public opinion among Latino residents of Massachusetts. The survey covered a range of policies questions, including voting, the Census, impacts of COVID-19, remote learning experiences, and the pandemic’s impact on family financial security.
We asked these questions to assess where Latinos in our Commonwealth stand and help inform a shared policy agenda that speaks to both the short-term and long-term needs of the Latinx community.
The poll found that the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout have hit Latino residents of Massachusetts hard, echoing many state and national data sources documenting the severity of the impacts on Latinos.
The survey was sponsored by Amplify Latinx, The Barr Foundation, Eos Foundation, Latino Legacy Fund, Greater Boston Latino Network, Boston Impact Initiative, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and was conducted by The MassINC Polling Group.
